Polar
Pō-Ra (ポーラ)
Classification: Polar Bear (Ursus Maritimus)
Gender: Male
Kind: Good

Polar is Crash Bandicoot's pet, somewhat. He is a baby polar bear. Crash's first approach on the bear cub wasn't exactly nice or friendly, since he just mindlessly threw himself into him to hitch a piggy-back ride. Despite being a bear, Polar acts a lot like a dog, often barking and guarding Crash's house when he's absent.

Notes: Despite several years have been passed since Crash first met Polar, he is still the same size as before, and never seems to get older. This was never actually explained in the games. In "Crash: Boom, Bang!", Polar is an anthropomorphic animal.

Polar throughout the games:
Crash Bandicoot 2/3/CTR/XS/Fusion
Voiced by: Uncredited/Satomi Koogari (Japan)
The original Polar model.
Crash Team Racing (intro)
Oddly enough, CTR's intro sports a unique model not seen anywhere else. It's more detailed than the previous one and has blue eyes. The white of his fur seems cleaner too.
Note: The previous model is still used in the podium.
Crash Nitro Kart
Voiced by: Debi Derryberry (kept for Japan)
This model is very similar to the first one, but much more detailed. He has a different paw style, and his eyes have more visible pupils. The fur around his nose is darkened now.
Crash Twinsanity
This model is very similar to the first one, but with more polygons.
Polar seems to be angry at Crash for some reason, and already has a baseball bat at hand.

Out of comparison:
CTR (In-Kart)
All in-kart models from CTR are much more polygonal versions than usual, since 8 of the usual character models on screen at the same time would be more than the PS1 could handle.

Crash: Boom, Bang! (cameo)
Polar appears as one of the characters in Silhouette Quiz.
In this Japanese game, Polar is an anthropomorphic animal, just like Crash and the other evolved animals. He also wears light blue pants.

Like all CBB models, it is cel-shaded, giving it cartoony visuals.
